In this exhibition, time appears as an active, formative force. Rogier and Vladislavs present graphic and ceramic works in which time guides form, material and meaning. In the work, Time is not the external conditions in which the creative process takes place, it is a co-author who intervenes, slows down, repeats, interrupts and transforms. For the visitor to the exhibition, light is a reliable companion with whom to see and get to know how the relationships between objects and space change from moment to moment.
Rogier creates graphic works and, using pen plotters, explores an abstract visual language formed by machine handwriting. Plotting is a slow printing process in which the changes in the material become visible: as the marker gradually dries, its changing properties create subtle variations and tensions in the line. These changing marks reveal the interplay of system, time and chance. The visual experience is extended by audio recordings that document the act of creation itself.
Vladislavs’ works are a reflection of time. Form here appears as a reminder of the continuous negotiations between intention and progress. We see not only the final image, but also the traces of decisions made over time and moments when control over the process is minimal. Time is Vladislav's colleague, without which the creative process is impossible.
