Design for the Planet

Design Museum Den Bosch featured the exhibition Design for the Planet. For this exhibition I did the graphic, interactive and education design. The education design consisted of 3 walls with quesitons to the audience. The question ‘What does a human-designed cloud look like?’ left the creative freedom to the participant to come up with an answer by drawings on a wall-carpet. The other questions gave space to give a written answer on a sticker and position the sticker on a specific position on an infographic on the wall. The given answers gave a visual indication of the visitors opinion on geo-engineering.

Exhibition text:
Designers, architects and engineers have dreamed for centuries of shaping our world. What if we could build entire continents, tame hurricanes, or dim the sun’s radiation? This kind of large-scale, deliberate intervention in nature is also referred to as ‘geoengineering’: the alteration, construc- tion and design of the earth itself. The design and history of the geoengineering phenomenon are explored for the first time in the exhibition Design for the planet.
